   Beware! Read this before purchasing Dell G15 5520

   At 100 percent charge, the battery backup is only 2 hours. The laptop has a 56whr battery which is very poor. Even after you keep lowest power use, it will fail. Beware before purchasing this device, else you repent.

   Necessary Details for Buyers.

   First, this laptop comes with i7 H-Series processor which is hungry of power.Second, this laptop has RTX graphics which required too much power, which can discharge the 100% battery of 3 cell and 56 WHr within 100 minutes.But there is option it increase its battery time ( while general purpose like surfing, streaming)1. Go to Device Manager and Disable RTX Graphics under Display Adapter.2. Switch to battery saver mode.I guarantee you will get more than 4 hours of battery life (may vary when you connected with internet).This device is fitted with Realtek Speakers and having Realtek HD Sound driver WaveMaxxAudio which also process on high frequency that means consume lots of power and increases surface temperature, so fans run continuously ( so, use laptop on flat surface for better ventilation ) which consumes battery.3. You can also disable WavesMaxxAudio service through Task Manager under Startup Section, then restart the laptop.Note:- By Disabling WavesMaxxAudio, sound quality will decrease significantly. So, do it on your as per needs.Although, this is great laptop for an Engineering Student, Video Editing, and Even for medium graphics Game Development for 2D Games like Mario.But I’ll prefer a PC for Serious Video Editing and Gaming.

   Expensive compared to Dell store

   Expensive price, Dell store offering less with same model, configuration, with bag.Warranty starts from date of customer purchase, not Amazon purchase

   Battery backup is only upto 80mins.. worst product

   This laptop has very minimal battery backup.. full battery drain within 80 mins …

   Very Powerful Laptop but Battery Backup is a big concern.

   I did not purchase this laptop from amazon as it was not available at that time here. If someone is looking for a powerful laptop within medium budget then this machine is wonderful.1) The CPU is I7-12700H with 14 cores and 20 threads. Any work is executed smoothly without any hitches. 2) People looking for running multiple virtual machines simultaneously will be very pleased. I have tested with 6 VMs running simultaneously and truth be told, the laptop performs wonderfully well without any lags. 3) 16GB of DDR5 RAM is good enough for most work including latest AAA titled games. There is option to upgrade upto 32GB but it is a very costly affair right now. 4) The RTX 3050Ti is quite good for mid-tier gaming needs. Tons of youtube videos backup this point. However, for high level gaming this is not ideal. 5) The laptop gets noticeably warm even when doing normal tasks. However, while under intensive workload (CPU, GPU or both) the machine does get very hot. So, a good quality cooler is a must for those who intend to do intensive work for long periods of time.6) Alienware command center needs to be running in order to use the Game Shift tech (Fn + F9).7) Display Quality is ok – I expected a better display at this price.8) The integrated webcam does not have a privacy shutter which is drawback at this price point.9) The mouse click on the trackpad is a 2-stage affair. You have to click quite hard and will be able to feel the 2 stage click procedure.10) After purchase, the initial setup process is a quite cumbersome. High speed internet is a requirement it seems. Tons of updates (Including drivers from dell website), windows updates are separate lots of setups (Nvidia panel updates separately), bloatware (McAfee) really is confusing for anyone not well versed with these things.11) The hinges seem quite good. We can lift the lid with one finger. There is very little wobble on the lid.Note – Battery Backup : This is huge problem. Battery gets drained incredibly fast. Even under almost no workload battery drains out totally in around 90 minutes. This is really not good for laptop costing above₹1 Lac. If I had any idea about this issue, I would not have purchased this model. I understand that the laptop is powerful, but if battery drains out in less than 2 hours even when machine is idling then it is not good.If someone is willing to work on this machine while connected to AC power, then this is a really powerful machine. In higher end laptops, the GPU and build quality will be obviously better. But, the CPU and RAM is top grade which means that most work is done without problem.
