My laptop has 16GB RAM. Is it okay to install Luminon 10? Will it slow down my laptop?

You have just mentioned the 16 GB RAM, what about the other components. To run Luminon 10 smoothly, you need at least an Intel Core i7 CPU along with 4 GB dedicated Quadro or a better GPU. You also need at least 16 GB RAM, which you already have, but 32 GB is recommended.
If your PC still doesn’t meet the min requirements, then it’s better to stop further upgrading and get a new mobile workstation like the HP ZBook.
